The anime industry is horribly set up, and about the only thing they have good going for them is better writing and a lack of hellishly vicious censoring of most of the content.
OH GOD DON'T HURT ME!
Or not.
But eh... regenerating shields are alright sometimes, but they are one of the things that made Halo 2 and 3 kind of suck in comparison to, say, Halo 1 or Halo Reach (not that Halo is the same as Half-Life, but... that's the first thing that came to mind so whatever).
I didn't really think there was anything wrong with Half-Life (2, because that's the one I played... maybe the inventory system is different in 1 and 2...)'s inventory system. And really, I'm not sure how they'd improve it.
Not having to switch your weapon to use grenades or melee is nice though, so that would be an improvement.
Also, I'd have the regenerating shields more in the Halo Reach or Halo: CE sense, where after your shields die you're immediately vulnerable to harm. That way you'd have the ability to squeak by most fights without having to backtrack to scavenge for medpacks, yet you'd have to find ways to heal up before major fights.
And that kind of regenerating shield is fine, I guess. I like that kind of regenerating shield. I also like not having regenerating shields at all, but if there are going to be shields, it's best to combine it with a non-regenerating life bar, I think.
This video is fucking creepy.
