There are now Mega Pokemon. Including Amfabio the Amphabulous
Comments
It has the ability Sweet Veil
It is literally cotton candy with a puppy face on it
It's definitely going to be in the bad designs pile (although the dog face makes me hopeful for a kickass evolution)
Fuck you, Vanilluxe is awesome.
Still saying it has a bad design, though
FYI I just IM'd Alex and he says he's still alive but just busy with meatspace stuff and just hasn't had much time at home. Says he's got nothing against any of us, but has just been occupied with other things. "Might pop in at some stage", but "not this week", at least.
A possessed sword Pokemon is cool with me.
In any case, I've been gone because of meatspace stuff. I'm not entirely sure how regularly I'll be here, because I've barely spent a week of the last month at home and being part of a forum on a regular basis (not to mention moderating) entails not being preoccupied with other stuff. So I'll see how that goes.
Don't worry, we only need you to post "SWORDS!" in IJBMer Updates about once a week.
Alex, I am more wondering what you think of the design of the sword itself
Confusing as all hell.
The cross-section of the blade is late medieval or younger, but the general design of its one-handed hilt with a gently curved crossguard is of an earlier, primarily Germanic, design philosophy. In addition, the width and length of the blade in relation to the size of the hilt recalls Roman weapon design rather than the medieval implications of its blade or hilt.
Basically, that sword makes absolutely no sense.
Which is fine, because it's Pokemon, but since you asked...
Would such a sword be able to actually function, or could it be assumed that, say, the spirit changed the sword because there is no way a competent smith would make a sword like that?
And now there's Mega Evolutions.
PokeGods confirmed.
wait what
Serebii has information
I'd normally be livid about this - This seems REALLY Jump The Sharkish, but I approve of this solely because of Dancing Queen Mega Mawile and Mega Amphabio The AmPHABULOOOOOOOOUS!
Oh thank god I thought I was the only one.
Needs better names. Like Pikablu, Mewthree, and Venustoise.
Also, when I read "Mega Mewtwo", I thought of this.
And also, would you call these...Mega Mons?
Nah, that's a different media property. (in case you don't get it:look at the filename)
Huh. They actually kept the name Megaevolutions
Whelp. Looking forward to seeing Gen Wunners come out of the woodwork to insult this when they hear about it...
What about mocking this? Because it's too stupid to insult. oh wait i just insulted it anyway
I'm looking forward to the hardcore players reaction to Super Training.
Yeah this seems shark-jumpy. Then again I haven't had the time to play Gen 5 at all anyway, so I'm effectively out of the game.
Hardcore player here.
Just...don't use it? Seriously, no-one's forcing you to use it and it gives the same advantages as normal grinding. Just like how no-one was forcing you to play on Easy Mode in W2. Pokemon has never been a very hard game anyways.
And of course there are thousands of people who played Gen One and didn't grow up to be rabid everything after G1 haters, they're just not the one's I'm interested in watching freak out :P
-shrug- You didn't specify, so I answered.
I'm really not sure what kind of "hardcore player" would have a problem with super training? Competitive players (the three of them that don't hack) will be happy to have an easier way to EV-train, and Nuzlockers play the way they do specifically because the vanilla game is too easy so it becoming easier in a way that doesn't really impact Nuzlockes is kind of irrelevant to them.
We Digimon now.
WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING TO MY BELOVED POKEMON FRANCHISE
EVER SINCE THEY DID SUCH ADVANCEMENTS AS BATTERY-BACKED SYSTEM CLOCK AND DAILY EVENTS THEY HAVE GONE DOWNHILL
except olivine/violet city's theme
that was so heartfeltly sweet
actually I liked those two ideas, though the main issue was that it became less convenient to play the game since I'd have to boot up my GB at different times of day and that made it more complicated to dodge my parents...and even more inconvenient to play on emulator since that would screw up the correlation with my computer's system clock...oh, and i don't hate the games either; this post was to satisfy @fourteenwings
