    Well, if a term fits, it fits, but that does seem a bit of a stretch.

    I mean, I do like certain japanese inspired words, but at the same time, japanese archetypes tend to really only show up in japanese media, because, well, it's japanese.

    But still, some do work.

    Helga Pataki from Hey Arnold! manages to be even more over-the-top tsundere than most anime tsunderes, for example. But I find that western cartoon characters tend to be more exaggerated in general.

    Yeah, that was a bit of an overgeneralization.

    But most words in that context are annoying.  Like calling Hermione meganekko.  Which I've seen too many times to count.

    ^^^^Well, she was essentially the second main character, which helped a lot. Most tsunderes end up designated to the dreaded love interest role (not that I have anything against all love interests, but I find that that role encourages the producers to make the character more an object to the main character than, well, a character).

    Hey, don't get me wrong.  I love Japanimation, and my favorite work in any medium ever is Japanese.

    Some people take it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far though.  Which people will do with anything.

    These people make me feel bad that I like anything Japanese.

    the problem is not so much that the idea is inherently bad but the fact that it feels redundant when we have the film club, not to mention that we'd have to schedule taking both into account. We can make it work, though.

    Also, I wouldn't be the op for the anime club, for obvious reasons.
