  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

I kind of doubt there were any political ideas behind his statements. I think he was just an idiot.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

^^Yeah. It's one of those IPs where they gave the first installment a subtitle for some reason.

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.

Then I got the right demo. Awesome.

The game kind of has more of a Dragon Age-y feel than an Elder Scrolls feel, but it's definitely not too similar to either.

I liked how the game actually made my character feel like a character of her own, though.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

I didn't feel like there was quite as much RP-ing as in Dragon Age.

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.

    Massive whining incoming.

So my older brother's in jail currently, and we just got a call from where he was living prior that if we don't pay the rent soon (and it's a shitload) they'll just open the place to the next person who asks. There's a couple of issues here. Firstly, we're almost on skid row here so there's no way we can pay. Secondly, if he can't go back there when he gets out, he'll have to live in the family home. It always causes trouble because of the animosity between him and my father, and he often fights with our mother as well.

To compound the financial situation, my mother doesn't have a job and I have no idea what my father spends his money on. I can't get a job, so I've been putting my energy into getting on benefits, but the organisation has fucked me around a lot. For instance, the one time recently I got most of the way through the sign-up process, they didn't send me the call that finishes the process. I waited all day beside my phone with as much paperwork and information as I could find.

My younger brother's in his second-last year of high school and is going to need all the security he can get when the pressure mounts up.

I don't particularly recall how things got like this. It's like everything was at least alright until I finished high school and then things got bad. Of course, that was 2008, which coincides with the economic crash, so I guess it makes sense. Whatever.

There's not. But there's more RP-ing than in TES. You see?

    Massive whining incoming.

Remind me why you can't get a job?

And you shouldn't have too much trouble getting on Centrelink if you're going full-time to school. If you are having this much trouble... fuck, I have no idea. I could send you some money, but I don't think I'd ever be able to send you enough to really help your parents out financially.

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

^^Lots of things went to shit after the crash, not like I have personal experience. >_>

^If it's anything like my experience probably because no one's hiring.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

There's not. But there's more RP-ing than in TES. You see?

Well, yeah, definitely. I tend to forget about that because last time I played a TES game was part of the journal-keeping thing.

  • "I kind of doubt there were any political ideas behind his statements. I think he was just an idiot."

Maybe not directly, but I do think media stereotypes reinforced them. After all, The Bible => Egyptian slave owners. Braveheart => Scottish freedom fighters. The tectonic plate thing was beyond moronic though.

i know how that goes bro

hopefully someone will hire me if I hand in my stuff now, since I'm going to school but can do that around work >_>

Well, yeah, definitely. I tend to forget about that because last time I played a TES game was part of the journal-keeping thing.

I tend to try to RP it, but there's very little chance for RP'ing in it that actually has narrative weight as opposed to like... gameplay weight or whatever

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

I honestly forget the people here can sometimes have money or family problems, I don't really know why.

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

Because we're words on the internet. It's easy to forget.

In any case, good luck Alex. I remember when my sister who was more than a little of a problem lived with us. It was not pleasant.

I really think it was just to justify Sean Connery being Egyptian in Highlander.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

    ^^So do I.

    Hope things work out, Alex.

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Well, I don't usually talk about my life, but the company my mother has worked for since I was born is going down any month now. So I guess that counts for me having money problems.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

Sometimes I feel guilty for not having money problems :<

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

Eh, that's like feeling guilty for having proper clothing. You really shouldn't feel bad for be circumstantially fortunate. Just acknowledge it's circumstantial.

  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!

    I didn't say it wasn't dumb :P

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Money problems don't bother me, I have never felt a need for money, I crave videogames, and my lack of disposable income makes me into the guy who always plays at other people's house, but, eh, that's what friends are for. But money has always seemed stupid to me.

One foot in front of the other, every day.

Thanks, guys. Even something as simple as

    Hope things work out, Alex.

    brings me a little comfort.

^ I agree, but I'm hoping to maintain a standard of living here. I'll be 22 in a couple of months and it's really high time I got out in the world, but I can't do that without the support of my family. Right now, they're only barely keeping themselves afloat, so all I can do is my best to get on benefits and pay for my own needs until such a time as I can get a proper job.

  • Wow Alex, I would never have suspected that. Hope it turns out well, just endure.

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Well, your family has more mouths to feed, mine is just my mom and me, always have been.

  • You can change. You can.

Best of luck, Alex. And also,

I don't particularly recall how things got like this. It's like everything was at least alright until I finished high school and then things got bad.

funny. Life's always that way. You never noticed you're in a bad situation till it's at its apex.

  • Well, two hours till I'm 18.

  • You can change. You can.

    26 till I'm 18 :D

    No rainbow star

    *Gives Alex a hug*

EDIT: Bleh, I forgot Juan is younger than me

    That just isn't right :<

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

The best of your life is behind you.

  • No rainbow star

...Seriously, Juan, you're supposed to be older than me. You're supposed to be at LEAST 27 (yes, 27. I have no idea why 27, it just fits you)

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

...dude, that would make Juan older than me.

  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.

Juan is a kid, with an extended vocabulary.

Oh, hey, it's my birthday apparently.

I don't know how old I am though.

    Probably 20.

Could be 19 for all I know.

EDIT: Wait no it's definitely the first one.
