I don't ever remember them ever saying they're sold out, and having pro memberships sold out doesn't make sense since it's a digital transaction anyway and besides it's literally just a membership which can't sell out even in meatspace.
Anyhow it's certainly available right now for US$49.95. Sometimes it's discounted.
Also I've superglued glasses back together before, heh.
Yeah, that's why I mentioned it. It was certainly genuinely sold out before at some point. I remember googling and checking forums about it.
MAL supporter only costs like $20 for the whole year and I haven't even done that yet! When we get to those rates for subscriptions, I might as well pay for a yearly subscription to The Spectator or something.
I know pastebin is for a lifetime but that's still a lot of money.
Oh, also, the recurring memberships are indeed "sold out". I guess they still exist for people who paid for them before this "sellout" was instituted?
wow there's a lot of potential for neat stuff
> nth time using TOM
whelp I've already picked out what I want in this store, and search effort is having severely diminished returns
CDJ just like... always has new stuff, and I'm always watching new anime, so I rarely run into this.
Sounds like a premise for a story about an incubus.
"Recommended LGBT"?
Uh, by the way, I graduate school forever... literally tomorrow.
There won't be a ceremony or anything, since it's early. Normal graduation is in April, and I'm apparently welcome to attend the ceremony, but it's one of the sorts of things I'd rather stay away from with a ten foot pole (I haven't been to any of my graduations since like... ever?).
I just have to go in and collect my papers tomorrow and then I never have to go into a school ever again? It feels surreal. Like... who even is 14w without "oh I have to go to school now"?
I did want to go to the ceremony though, I went to the rehearsal and it was nice.
Have fun. This reminds me of how the insanity surrounding American anime voice actor Vic Mignogna's... stuff. I really have no idea what happened there aside from Vic refusing to recuse himself from public life and going all in, which really inflamed it all, but both sides are really dug in.
I maintain that (1) none of the vast majority of people on the internet who are talking about it have any ability to decide what truly happened and also have no personal connection to the parties directly involved, and thus have no standing to make any judgement, and (2) the truth of what happened does not change based on how many people throw a hashtag around. And finally, (3) just because a person does bad things doesn't mean they're incapable of making good art; and just because a person makes good art doesn't mean that they're incapable of doing bad things; humanity is imperfect.
I understand the importance of ceremony, as well as celebrating one's achievements and those of others, but I've eschewed it for so long that it's now just my gut reaction not to participate. Probably a combination of contrarianism and an overexaggerated sense of "realism".
Second note to self: I'm really wordy.
However, I'm glad I don't have to pull my punches with you around here ie no fear of being angrily lectured into the ground via PM.
I mean it's silly to say this after I admitted they were probably not my thing and... then buying some anyways.
Also, why do political books insist on hardcover first runs? I mean I get they really really have to make their money back but come on.
Edit: I made use of the opportunity to run for a bit, so I guess something good came out of it.
I am reminded of that joke about a guy smuggling Lenin busts so he could sell them to the shooting ranges. (I don't really remember how it went, but that was the punchline.)
