I see the political voting is as obvious as normal
Mhm.
Huh, we only gave Ireland 10 points
Well, it's Jedward.
Jedward were really popular on The British (and Irish) version of X-factor
...
Oh, the humanity.
Sweden's gonna win.
At least we're not British
Yeah we have 6 points now
Estonia are our new BFFs
LOL at the Lordi guy.
Finland is e/b/in :DDD
The Swedes have won
I didn't like their song. My favourite was Romania
I feel bad for the Hump though
At least we didn't finish as badly as other years ;_;, I was very surprised with Israel giving us 10 points
It's a victory deserved, I think.
Serbia's third, which is great, too.
For you non-Europeans, here are the three highest ranking songs.
1. Sweden
It is a pretty good dance song, and probably deserved the victory.
2. Russia
Yeah, the grannies are really cool and all, but seriously? Second place?
3. Serbia
A folkish ballad with classical instruments - many have compared it to a movie or video game theme. There have been claims of plagiarizing the Shrek soundtrack and/or Coldplay's Paradise, which I can't say how true it is, but the guy is a major rip-off - a popular period soap has a soundtrack "composed" by him, and half of the soundtrack is obviously stolen from Heroes of Might and Magic IV, of all things.
Also, my personal favorite, Macedonia. It's a pity that it didn't rank higher, but at least it stayed within the left part of the scoreboard.
It begins like a typical Eurovision ballad, but unexpectedly turns into a hard rock song with a slightly operatic tinge. It's really refreshing and rare to see rock songs on Eurovision, and it's a pity that they tend not to qualify highly, regardless of their quality.
