Yeah, that's kind of why I stopped swordposting. I realised that I was starting the posts by making a legitimately contributory statement, but then I would expand irrelevantly on it.
It's a lot easier to prevent that kind of thing with other topics, since I can expect you guys to be more well-informed on stuff that isn't back-from-the-dead martial arts from another time and place. So I felt the need to expand on stuff, just because I like to spread the word and more understanding on something that ought not to have died in the first place makes me feel more internally contributory.
Your swordposts do have a way of derailing threads, too. Then again, the thread wasn't usually of much merit anyway.
To be absolutely fair, one person isn't enough for a derail in its own right.
I want to witness the magic with my own eyes...
