The Trials and Tribulations of Sexy Garchomp

I don't want no Barneys in my Pokemon!
But seriously, its design is way too plain, and also far too unintimidating for a pseudolegendary.
He smiles and stares at you with those big adorable eyes as he burns you alive in a pillar of fire.
That's frightening!
I approve of that.
And dragonite doesn't look derp at all anyway. Derpmon is bidoof.
I can't decide if either Magikarp or Bidoof is the most derp.
MacDuffy,
Am I the only one here who likes Dragonite's design?
I like it, but more so because it is powerful and friendly. I think that makes it seem more like the type to help people out than to just blow stuff up/do generic monster things.
As for the actual topic at hand, I think it might be worth checking out some of the other YTPs that combuskenisawesome has made aside from the one in the OP.
I like Dragonite because it's the underdog pseudolegendary, and the original Ragedancer. I also like it's design even though I usually hate cutesy Pokemon.
> it's the underdog pseudolegendary
> second most popular Pokémon in OU
Wait, it's actually the second most used?
I'd believe it.
Is Ferrothorn still first?
Scizor is first; Ferrothorn's down to seventh.
The stats.
Aw man, all my favorites aren't in the top 10.
My favorite pokémon is bulbasaur.
Bulbasaur is the coolest looking Kanto starter. Granted this is helped by Ash's Bulbasaur in the cartoon being a total badass.
Wait really? Did it gain something over Salamence when I wasn't looking?
^Multiscale.
Multiscale's a bitch; as long as Dragonite is at full health, the first damage it takes is cut in half. As in, it can survive an Ice Punch now.
For this reason, Dragonite's new nemesis is Stealth Rock.
Yeah, carrying a spinner is pretty much mandatory with Dragonite. Although if you switch properly you can just use Roost.
Wait, you mean that they gave dragonite a secondary flying type just to balance it, NOT because it happened to have wings?
You mean like how every other bug pokemon has wings and can fly, but isn't flying type?
Yep.
^Not every bug Pokemon has wings.
Every other. And even if half of them isn't an exact number, there are plenty like Venomoth, Beedrill, Heracross, Scizor that have wings, but aren't flying typed.
Scizor has wings?
-checks-
Oh.
You've never actually used a Scizor and seen it's back-sprite, have you?
...no.
At least they tried to justify Scizor by saying that it's wings aren't used for flight.
Venomoth has no excuse. Unless it has levitate. Which Bulbapedia says it doesn't.
That's because, with the exception of Beedrill and Venomoth, their secondary typing was cooler.
