Bainbridge blinks. "...I'm sorry?"
"I don't think that was directed at you, professor."
"I certainly hope not." Bainbridge says, his face becoming stern.
"Well, if you were talking to me, Paul, the answer is that we have very little information. We should get as much as we can without taking risks before we report back."
"Noted."
Clearly annoyed at Paul, Mark turns back to the Professor. "I think that's all we need for the moment, Professor. Thanks for the help."
"Glad to be of service." he said. "Please report to me anything you know of Cassandra as soon as you find out." and he hands Paul a piece of paper with a phone number written on it.
"Certainly."
Mark pockets his notebook and heads toward the door.
Upon stepping out of the office, Mark looks around to make sure there aren't any humans present, then says to Paul in a lowered voice, "You seriously believe in Vampires?"
"Just because we drink blood doesn't mean we're vampires."
"Mosquitos drink blood. That doesn't make them vampires."
"Even if that's true, that doesn't mean we're the same thing you'd read about in a story to scare little kids."
"If I may," Warren says. "Do you have any problem with the notion that werewolves exist?"
Mark looks confused.
"Uh . . . never mind."
Mark heads toward the exit.
The taxi is waiting at the nearest round. "Where ya headed, mon?"
