  That seems like a very lonely way to live, swearing away any romantic interaction, sexual or otherwise. There are a few people I know who are really cool, but that asexuality barrier makes it impossible to connect with them on an emotional level, so it feels like you'd be better off talking to them on a forum as opposed to having them visit your house.

  It's just, giving your body to someone usually implies that you really like them and trust them. Not wanting to do that is understandable. It's just the whole rejecting you thing they do, with no notable reason, kind of makes it plummet really quickly and make you feel ugly.
