    ^^ I always kind of lumped that in with fanfic, I guess.

    But either way, I agree it's pretty silly.  Dubcon moreso than noncon, because at least noncon is mostly honest about the content.  I... am kind of curious about why they label it this way though.  I know that people who distribute hentai usually just label it "rape" when that's what it is, so I dunno why fanfic authors and erotica authors don't do the same.

    Rape porn bothers me more because it's so much more common though, but in any case it's not like either fetish itself bothers me (I mean, I don't have any problems with people who like either of those things)... but seeing anything of them grosses me out...

    I'm fairly sure rape is more common than non-rape in hentai.  And as such, rape doujinshi seems to be more common than any other type of doujinshi (including non-porn doujinshi).  This bothers me when I look for doujin stuff about anime and stuff I like.

    But then again, I guess my first reply in this thread applies here, since doujinshi is just fanfic only with more pictures and less Mary Sues.

    Notable combinations of fetishes involving rape I've seen: bestiality (or... furry? only not really) scat incest rape, loli guro rape-only-not-really-because-she-explicitly-wants-it, magic-glowing-old-guy-dick-with-a-girl-spinning-around-on-it loli rape (and loli bondage electrocution rape in the same anime!), and... not terribly many others actually, since I try to avoid hentai in general for the most part, unless some morbid curiousity motivates me to try reading/watching it.

    We'll use Gelbooru for this because it has over 1,100,000 images, including lolicon, shotacon, guro, and some scat, all of which Danbooru blocks for most people.

    If I search for "rape", I get 548 pages.

    If I blacklist "rape", removing all images that have it tagged, as well as blacklisting rating:safe and rating:questionable, leaving only things that are objectively hentai, I get

    10 426 pages.

    ^^ Bakabt gives about 1200 hentai anime/manga, and 300 hentai anime/manga with keyword "rape," which is actually lower than the actual amount, since sometimes the tag doesn't apply to certain kinds of not-really-consent, it seems.  Still less than half, but significantly higher than your number, and still pretty high.

    We aren't talking about consent vs not-really-consent vs nonconsent. If it's rape, it's just rape. If it's not, it's not. I said we are not going by semantics and we are making assumptions. There is no way there is more rape hentai than there is of all other hentai.

    There's an obvious flaw in this: Gelbooru holds solo image. So images with "Rape" will only be flagged if the rape is obvious. Since consent often require more than one image to show (and that the difference between a character moaning and protesting can be dubious at best), I suspect Gelbooru's rape pics go severely under-flagged.


    And no, I don't want to test this.
