And it looks artsy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passion_Play_(film) That must mean she is now talented and attractive. You know, it's a shame that unconventionally attractive women like Megan don't get roles in more fil-wait it bombed? Critics hated it?
Man, why do these overblown summer blockbusters put human barbie dolls like Megan Fox in their movies instead of unconventionally attractive women like Nerd Dreamgirl #395820582390?

I think the point is something along the lines of "Indie movies are not inherently good" or whatever
i don't know, man. myrposts are boringest posts
Wow, that's a bizarrely specific macro!
"unconventionally attractive"
What the heck does that even mean?
It means she's not attractive to hollywood normal standards, maaaan
like...a woman with...stuff...that hollywoord girls don't have, broooooo
youknowwhati'msaying
Attractive in a way that the stupid JOCKS don't recognize.
Zooey Deschanel you were mai waifu until you became well known.
...absurdism?
When I do absurdism
you will know
I can't see through all the layers of cynicism and bitterness to see what this thread is actually about.
Why do I want to say "Get over it!" every time I read a Myrmidon thread?

Heh.
Actually, I'll just say it:
GET OVER IT!
When I think "unconventionally attractive", I think of some kind of modernist art philosophy.
Well, there is a truth to the fact that different beauty standards apply to different people, but in the case of the movie, it's pretty much saying "I like this girl because she has something that all of the others have, but I don't know about the others so fuck them"
also, don zabu's post passes...
with flying colours
He is saying that indie films always get a pass for being "artsy" even if big blockbusters do the same thing and are criticized for it.
It would be a good point if it were in any way true.
That's not what I was saying, actually.
If you could tell us instead of being intentionally obtuse and unhelpful, that would be appreciated, thanks.
then explain
-ahem-

When I saw Transformers, I thought "well she's pretty attractive" and for once, not in a "hollywood blonde" type of way. I didn't notice that she couldn't act because it was Transformers and nobody could act.
And then people were all like "She's so generic" and I was like "lolwut"
I think it's more her fanservice role in Hollywood more than her actual appearance. Loads of people find such pandering condescending.
I'm...not sure Megan Fox counts as unconventionally attractive. I mean she's not a Hollywood blonde, but she's like the next closest thing you can get with her hair color.
I'm alao tired as hell...
That must be the secret!
eh
No one likes a sexual preferences hipster, is what I'm saying.
@saigyouji: Boring Myr is boring.
@Myrmidon: see, why can't you just say that? Or "IJBM: People who worship a certain beauty standard till it's popular" but noooooooo
I thought my point was obvious, apparently it wasn't, geez.
You do this every time dude. You might be able to get a decent conversation about any of the stuff that bugs you if you'd just spell it out, but instead we have to play this bloody guessing game.
