Ica1: You are a non human being asked to help rescue the world due to demons pouring forth. It has a password system and the main character is green on the front of the Gameboy cartridgeGMH got itI'm gonna start numbering like GMH does:
ED1. This barbarian king would like to tell you of his days of high adventure. And no, it isn't Conan, but you wouldn't be blamed for getting the two confused.
ED2. In this Sega Genesis game, master sorcerer Joe Yamato (who starts with only one spell but picks up more as the game goes on) goes on a quest to save maiden Alexandria and stop a demon's resurrection. Fun fact: its one of the few Sega Genesis games to contain full frontal nudity, but this was censored in later releases.
ED3. Bubble Bobble, Bubble Symphony, Bubble ________, ______ Bobble (aka ____ a ____), _______ Stars.
Random musing (not a quiz question): When I play Rainbow Islands I can't help but wonder if the people at Taito ever watched the 1981 cartoon Rainbow Brite. The game seems to be so obviously taking cues from the cartoon.
ED4. This game features both the Flint and the Vic Viper, with the Flintlock for the former and the Options for the latter... and it's not even a shmup!
ED5. This Commodore 64 text adventure is based off a then-popular children's cartoon (but mixes that cartoon's plot with those of its sister series) and requires you to do things that are rather out-of-character for the hero, including outright killing some enemies.
ED6. The game is Ultima IV. The Virtues are Honesty, Compassion, Valor, Sacrifice, Humility, Honor, Spirituality, and Justice. They come from the three principles of Truth, Love and Courage. But all of these come from the greater axiom of ________.
ED7. From memory, name off every Sonic the Hedgehog game released for the Sega Genesis and Game Gear consoles. Including the ones that weren't released in America.
Seven is a good number so I'll stop there.
ED3: Puzzle Bobble (aka Bust a Move) is the only one I know aside from Bubble Bobble.
ED6: I'm not sure, but I think it's Infinity.
ED7: Sonic the Hedgehog (Mega Drive, Master System/Game Gear), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (MD, MS/GG), Sonic Chaos, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Knuckles Chaotix (I'm not completely sure if this was MD, though), Tails' Adventure, Sonic Spinball, Sonic 3D

Reposting some of mine.
GMH5. GB: Prevent others from stealing your girlfriend/boyfriend
by...creating a contiguous single color path between you and them. Or
something. You start off with a checkerboard and pan rows and columns
up or down, and your opponents do the same thing. HINT: This is a rather obscure Japan-only puzzle game.
GMH9. A shmup where you get a starmap, but that only indicates the sets
of levels you go through, connected by straight lines. Each planet is a
set of a four levels; in three of them you duel an enemy spacecraft
while firing around obstacles, and in the fourth you fight a boss (which
may come in multiple units). HINT: Game Boy game.
GMHB1. (bonus!) Windows, freeware: The barrier between life and death, and crossing this barrier...are now gameplay features.
GMH11. You are a walking bridge. Your friend is an idiotic
Kirby-looking creature that crosses every bridge it comes to--even if
the bridge is broken, teleports its passengers, reverses them, or even
contains death. you must guide said friend home by positioning (and
locking in) yourself at appropriate locations, so that it doesn't meet
its doom instead of its home. HINT: Game Boy game.
Genesis: Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Mean Bean Machine, Sonic 3D Blast. I wasn't actually counting unreleased games but there was a SatAM game in development.
Game Gear: Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic Chaos, Sonic Triple Trouble, Tails' Adventure, Tails Skypatrol, Mean Bean Machine, Spinball, Labyrinth, Sonic Blast.
And I didn't technically ask about the Master System but lets see... Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Chaos, and Blast.
Okay, now let's see what Wikipedia says... crud, I missed Sonic Drift 1 and 2.
I'm gonna do the rest of the quiz a little differently too--I'll give people a few more hours to guess, then at around midnight I guess I'll post the correct answers, so you can see whether you got it.
Should I post the answer to my unsolved questions as well?
And yes, you should post answers. This thread nearly died with some quiz questions being unanswered so I think its time to start fresh.
In fact I'm going to post an answer from my previous quiz nobody guessed:
It's called Destination Earthstar.
But you did ask about Game Gear. Keeping out Master System makes no sense like that.
Also, you didn't say whether my answers were right.
Yes on Rastan. Puzzle Bobble is indeed one of the games on the list (Bubble Bobble 2 isn't--sorry GMH), and the axiom is, in fact, Infinity.
How so? They're different consoles even if there's some overlap in their libraries.
It only looks like most of the games are ports because those happen to be the games most people would know about. There's actually a lot of games that are on one system but not the other, and a lot of the games that seem like ports at first glance (Ninja Gaiden for example) are in actuality completely different games that just happen to share a title. The relationship between the two systems isn't anywhere near being the same as the relationship between the TurboGrafx and the Turbo Express.
Incidentally: Asking quiz-takers to list both the SMS and the Game Gear Sonic games would basically be forcing them to name four of the games twice. I just didn't see a point to that.
(squee! we're having an actual discussion!)
Oh, hey, I decided I'll give people an extra day to guess the rest of the questions (since I posted them so late at night and all) before revealing the answers.
