    Japan used to be like, 1% Christian, but it's a bit more now.

    Christianity in Japan is like Japanese culture in the U.S.  Everyone knows about it, but few people really understand it.  Hence you get a lot of Christian imagery in Japanese fantasy because it's familiar yet still exotic and mysterious.

    I'm tired of it being an inherent part of our culture and also absolute serious business, but the way the Japanese portray Christianity in fiction is interesting and refreshing.

    I love Japanese interpretations of Christianity because of how mytholgical they let it become. Trinity Blood also has some of the best depictions of Christian love and forgiveness I've ever seen.

    I think the picture is mocking how in the dub Naruto always screams 'BELIEVE IT!'

    It is indeed interesting to see a Japanese view on Christianity.

    The cross Jesus was crucified on is a symbol of Jesus suffering and dying for humanity's sins. Jesus' resurrection is a key belief in Christianity.

    To an outsider, it seems we pray to an execution device and believe in Zombie Jesus.
