I feel like I am the only one who doesn't find it hilariously bad, boring, or stupid. It pisses me off.

Am I just unaware of how much snark-bait it is and how badly drawn/done, unscary, narmy and disgusting it is?

I feel bad for being a fan about it.

    The English dub is really really shit.

    That was my first and only experience with the series.

    I should probably fix that.

    I never knew there was an english dub.

    But since Uso Da won't carry over, nor will Kai or Rei, then I won't devote time to it.

    I like the Manga though, it's nice.

    I liked Higurashi! But yeah, the dub was awful and the character models were distractingly goofy.

    I liked Higurashi. There was some Off Model, sure, and the dub was a disaster, but it was overall good.

    I need to read the VNs sometime.

    Never played the games. The anime was drawn... badly. But I did enjoy the story, and I stay the hell away from English dubs whenever I can.

    How bad, exactly, is the Off-model-ness of the anime?

    I'm watching Kamichama Karin right now and... well...

    It's the show that this is from.  And the animation is actually that bad... kind of frequently.

    So compared to that, how bad is it?

    Higurashi has weirdness when someone has a freakout, and occasional overlarge heads, but that's about it, really.

    Ahaaha, that ladder scene. It was actually epically scary in the VN with that abstract red-black-whatever background and the dialogue, but the problem isn't so much the animation itself (although it does suck horribly) but the fact that the voice acting and the animation do not match each other. The animation is portraying a character who is screaming, but the voice acting is trying to go for the "freakishly quiet" approach. The result was... strange.

    Also, I'm a fan. The VNs are better, but the anime as a standalone is good. I'm a fan. And the English dub has some good voices but most of them suck and they suck BADLY so the overall dub is earth-shatteringly bad.

    And yeah, the ladder scene was the low point of the anime and the dub was one of the worst I've heard.
