balrog1911 is still gone

Has friends besides tanks now
He was a member of the Jammies D&D game I ran a few months ago, and he was a pretty cool guy. One day, without warning, he stopped posting, not only in the D&D game, but also on TVTropes altogether. That was around March or February.

Out of curiosity, I checked his post activity at TVTropes again, and he still hasn't said anything since then.

Makes me wonder what happened. :(

  • I knew him.

We shared a paricular....interest. Never talked to him much though.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
    Huh. That's...kinda worrying.
  • Well, hopefully wherever he is, He's doing good :)
  • yea i make potions if ya know what i mean
Same thing happened to a guy from the RP forum named Wryte.

Last we heard, he was taking his cats out for a walk, that was back in late May/early April.
  • We Played Some Open Chords and Rejoiced, For the Earth Had Circled the Sun Yet Another Year
That's really a flaw with Internet projects in general; you never know when someone is going to drop off the face of the earth.
  • The ones who truly leave are not those who make a huge goodbye post, but rather those who (suddenly or gradually) just stop posting, with no indication but subtle hints.

Even if there had been any hint that he was losing interest in the game or the forums as a whole, it would have been nice of him to at least inform the group that he was dropping out (and it would save me the trouble of wondering if he hadn't told us because he's been killed or severely injured or something).
  • perhaps he died? (horrible to think about, but a possibility)

  • You can change. You can.
I saw him in my film club a couple of months ago. It's sad, really, as he was a cool guy and he was one of the main drives for me to try to keep it afloat before he left.

    Oh well...
  • a little muffled
Reminds me of when Mint Pearl Voice (the original creator of the original MMFRPG) left on vacation for a month and never showed up again (well, iirc she did eventually, but not until ages later). This was especially annoying because she left me in charge...

    -Googles-

Well, if nothing else, if the balrog1911 on that's on Youtube is the same as the TVTropes one, then he at least probably didn't die, since the last activity of that Youtube account was a month ago.
