Is dominant really that hard of a word to spell? No. Then why this plague of people insisting on spelling it "dominate?" This plague seems to have originated in the BDSM community, but it has spread outside of it, even to TV Tropes.

Dominate is a verb. Dominant is an adjective or noun. Like so:

The dominant person dominated their peer group.
