A business transaction between a German and Dane was stopped by American regulations because the US felt that the purchase in question, Cuban cigars, violated the US embargo of Cuba and left the Dane 137.000 kroner out of pocket. Now the EU doesn't have an embargo of Cuba so what the US has done is violated European Free Enterprise again >.<

Yes it is, the reason why the US said they could do it is because the Dane traded in US dollars
It looks like the transaction did technically route through the US, which means the US is technically in the right in a purely letter-of-the-law way. Still exceedingly dumb.
