I...do believe that is the worst thing in all of Christendom.
Do you agree?

I always kinda wondered how there wasn't a D&D or videogame monster based on them.
I was expecting this to be an IJAM topic.
Some better pictures:
They're cute-ish.
INUH,

While not exactly the same thing, I think the rumoles from Phantasy Star Zero come pretty close.
Ah, hey, there is. Thanks.
Still, though, as awesome a monster concept as they make, I'm surprised they aren't all over the place.

Presumably because anyone who sees one rightfully shoots it.
=(
See, I told you they were sort of cute!
Oh, wow, the scale there changes everything.
^^ Shortly before they drain you of all hope and love, aye.
I wouldn't go that far, it's not like it's a wolf pup.
ITT: People post pictures of Cthulhu's spawn and talk about how much they'd like them as pets, not knowing they're being controlled by the Old Gods.
^ ITT: I'd love a pet Eldritch Abomination ;.;
Is that an invitation to post pictures of actual Lovecraft monsters?
^ I bet they are adorable 8D
Here, have the son of Cthulhu strangling (an) Ultraman. Yes, a Lovecraft monster sort of guest-starred in an Ultraman show.
I will ride around on it and call it Shelly 83
I love how Ultraman's like "Hey, I'm being choked. Huh. better try to free myself from this."
^ Is that like the visual equivalent of Dull Surprise? "Oh. Help. Argh. I'm being strangled, everyone."
And the monster looks like it's made of old carpets.

No problem, I am just glad I happened to remember what game it was from. The star nosed mole looked familiar and I was wondering where I had seen one before, but I could not quite put my finger on it for a while.
Anyway, I have to agree with you about that last part. It seems a bit odd that they are not more common as enemies. In PSZ the rumoles actually stick their noses above ground to blend into fields of flowers and use that to their advantage to surprise you. That probably sounds pretty weird, but I guess it works.
The body language is pretty relaxed.
