Posting something as if it's new
I saw this recently with a 2010 article about an engineer who was sucked into a turbine engine and, well...
Let's just say that they should have waited to take the pictures until AFTER clean up
But yeah, r/wtf posted it. I expect that due to reddit being repost city. But now it's popping up in other places because people can't be assed to check the date on it =/

Hey guys, have you seen the new series of My Little Pony? They actually bothered to put some money into getting talented people to work on it, and it's actually not so bad. Weird, huh?
Also, if you pay close attention in the first episode, you can see someone messed up on one of the background characters eyes. It's kind of funny.
So, Inception was just released, and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, it was good stuff. i really liked the whole "we have to go deeper" stuff.
Why does the New Testament suck so much?
>Boring Mary Sue protagonist
>Nothing happens
>Ending makes no sense
RUINED FOREVER
There's a new western RPG by Peter Molyneux that's about to hit the X-Box; I hear it has an interesting morality/karma system.

This video is dumb.
I have a somewhat legitimate complaint:
This thing is fake. Any yo-yo with a printer can post this thing up and make it look "official."
and apparently, this happened over a year ago and has only just started to pick up in twitter and the like. NOHAMOTYO, anyone?
^Oh hey, that thing! Yeah, everyone is getting all indignant over it, but I figured it might not be real. It's like those college/university "Stop masturbating in the showers" notices that you see all over that are fake, and I know they are because I see pictures of the same one everywhere just with the specifics changed. A guy I really don't like fell for that completely freshman year, which just proved how dumb he is, because almost everyone else knows those things are fake.
More on topic, I hate when this happens too. Something like this happened on Facebook with that thing that shows what people are reading on newspaper websites. I saw "Harry Potter actor knifed to death" and was like "Oh shit!", then actually searched The Guardian website for it and found it to be something that happened several years ago, to a minor actor who only got a chance to appear in the sixth movie before he was stabbed trying to protect his brother from a random guy with a knife at a bar. I breathed a relative sigh of relief and wondered why the hell this particular girl I vaguely knew in high school was reading such an old article.
^ Perhaps because she was a rabid Harry Potter fan?
I remember that murder. It got a lot of publicity in the British media at the time, partly because the victim had vague "celebrity" status and partly because there was a bit of a moral panic on about a series of murders in London by the local equivalent of "gangbangers", using knives. I don't think this killing was even really gang-related - just lumped in under the same heading.
