    People love terminology.

    People love special niche groups.

People love stereotypes, including ones they can apply to themselves.

  • Because you never know what you might see.
Identity is defined by that which it is not.  Many of these terms and stereotypes exist to create an "other" which we can differentiate ourselves from.  For many people, becoming that other would mean losing their identity.
  • But you never had any to begin with.
Elections would get a lot more complicated if all labels were abandoned.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^Yeah, people would have to actually think about them, but they'd be massively improved.

Now they cannot "derp republican" and have to go "How is this guy similar to the last guy I voted for?"

I am a bisexual Male to Female Transexual asexual bigendered aromantic gynephiliac lolicon narratophiliac vorpheliac postmodern antitheistic post-christian alternative scene-breaking macrophiliac androgynous shota female.

But only the stereotypical female, not just a human with breasts and a vagina. A girly girl that likes being pretty, is very proper and feminine and worries about my appearance.
