...And wanted to investigate it in case if it brings you into something out of a scifi/fantasy/mystery/etc. book/movie/game/etc.?

Nope.  Things that are fun in games and stuff, if in real life, would probably just be really stressful at best, and absolutely terrifying or tragic at worst, and I sure as hell am not prepared to deal with anything supernatural, so... it's best that things like that don't happen.

^^ ...So finding something like, say, little people such as found in The Borrowers would be stressful at best?
  • ^ Well, you might have the stress of wondering whether to tell anyone about them. Or of doing so and not being believed.

IRL, I was once on a long train journey across England and I convinced myself that some Chinese passengers were behaving suspiciously, probably because they were illegal immigrants being people trafficked (there'd been a lot of it on the news). I think in retrospect I was heavily influenced by the fact that the woman I concluded must be the ringleader of this dastardly plot was blonde and rather attractive.

She was probably just wondering why that dodgy-looking guy kept staring at her all the time.

  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.

You should probably not take drugs then use public transport.

It depends, I've never heard/seen anything weird.
However I'd be up for being all sceptical in a possibly haunted house and stuff like that.

^^ I've thought about it. It depends on how advanced they are and how many there are

A larger group is more likely to have me reveal them. Also, if they are intelligent enough, I'd just ask, "Well, do you want your existance to be kept secret or would you like to be revealed to the world?"
