What's the point? A digital camera writes the date and time that the picture was taken into the file's metadata anyway, in such a way that even someone with no knowledge of computers could access it—hell, Windows Explorer has had a "date taken" function at least all the way back to XP.
The only way I can think of that this makes sense is if you intend to make prints of the photo, and even then it would make more sense to have the date stamp added during printing as opposed to sticking it on the image file itself.

I always wondered what sort of cameras do this.
Lots of cameras can do it (at least of the digital cameras I've used) but most have it disabled by default.
But how else are we going to know if camwhores are for real?
