MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

I really can't get into it. I mean, I know it's got Mike Nelson on it but it just doesn't have the same pop that MST3K did. There feels like there's a lot less heart to it. 


I think a big part of it is the lack of a framing device and the puppet shows interspersed. The presence of consistent comedic characters making comments rather than random voices injecting comments.

    Oh, also making fun of shitty blockbusters is much less amusing than the films they parodied in MST3K which, for all their flaws, generally had something genuinely amusing or interesting about them.


    Note I do find Rifftrax funny, but it just isn't as amusing nor does it inspire the same love I have for MST3K. Between the Avatar rifftrax or the Puma Man MST3K I'll always take the latter.

    To be fair, I'm pretty sure that Jake Sully also flies like a moron.
