He thinks Ron Paul is going to definitely get the Republican nomination.
And will definitely beat Obama.
He also thinks Obama has turned America into a facist (there's that word again) police state.
He seemed like he had a rather good head on his shoulders beforehand.
He also constantly brings up politics. It's rather annoying when I want to pretend to be a ninja vampire.

I wonder what the political affiliation of your average ninja vampire is?
Reform Party. More disciplines with less blood expenditure.
Wouldn't a vampire be a Democrat or some variety of socialist?
It would be an easy way to get close to relatively well educated (but not necessarily intelligent) nonreligious women, who make up the majority of the party. Clean, not likely to try to thrust a cross in your face, sexually liberated and less likely to have a gun.
Items of any faith work on vampires in masquerade providing the bearer believes. I really don't fancy becoming the first vampire to be repelled by The Vagina Monologues.
That counts as an item of faith?
If we're going by the "sad, blind devotion" definition, yes.
Also, I hate Vampire.
I doubt you'd be the first.

Pick one Hatter, pick one
I said "Democrat or some variety of socialist." Read my post again.
Well, I felt you implied that a Democract was a variety of socialist which so funny because a Democract is about ideologically the same as a European Conservative.
And I'm clearly talking about European politics right now. Right.
>Democract
> picking on that one minor bit of stupid instead of all the other stupid
Easier target.
True, and a lot less likely to lead to bullshit drama.
Carry on, trooper
Malkavian,
Well, government stuff is pretty important I suppose considering its wide-ranging impact, so I guess I can understand why the person in question brings it up a lot. Still, I probably would be bugged by someone talking about politics constantly too.
I do not know much about this, but I think that politics is one subject area where people can pretty easily self-select what news they read/watch/listen to and who they hang out with and talk to about politics. I feel like that can often result in confirmation bias (i.e., people favor information that reinforces their preexisting beliefs) and makes people more insular when it comes to political issues.
I think political dialogue can become incredibly frustrating once the facts become a issue of partisanship as each side has its own set of experts, studies, and such, especially if one is not particularly swayed by any one ideology.
> He also thinks Obama has turned America into a facist (there's that word again) police state.
It probably won't change his opinion at all, but remind him of how many protests and political rallies there have been, on all sides of the political opinion spectrum.
You mean the ones that have, almost without exception, received violent and immediate police response based entirely on suppression?
There are a lot that haven't. At least, definitely not immediate.
The Tea Party rallies have been pretty clean and orderly, at least.
