I hope youtube gets wiped off of the face of the internet and that lazy remixers and the people who enjoyed the shit they put out all get diarrhea, inguinal hernias and pneumonia, all at the same time.

    Some pretty lazy remixes have ended up being big hits - like the remix of "A Little Less Conversation" by Elvis a few years ago. It really didn't add much to the original. On the other hand, if you go back to the late 90s, Fatboy Slim's remix of "Brimful of Asha" turned a fairly poor song into a major success. That's good remixing.

    chillwave's an Internet meme created by one of the worst blogs in existence that eventually sprouted into what I'm assuming is a legitimate genre. Haven't listened to much of it myself, honestly.


    Araabmuzik's a hip-hop producer and MPC virtuoso who started out making beats for the likes of Cam'Ron and Jim Jones (i.e. not-good rappers), and eventually released a critically acclaimed mixtape full of, based on "Streetz Tonight" (I haven't listened to it myself), incredibly hands-off remixes of trance and house records.
