Games that are never translated

Sucks, man.

I mean, even if games are never exported, at least there tend to be Fan Translations floating about, but...

I really want to play Mitsumete Knight, but there's no patch for it, and considering that it's been out for over a decade the chances of one being released seem increasingly slim.

Darnit, why can I not has a medieval dating sim with a good story and extensive worldbuilding? T_T There are enough high school dating sims out there. and tons of them get translated...

  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.

    This exists?!

Damn. I think I'll be sad with you now.

    Energy Breaker (SNES)
  • No rainbow star
    ^^ I'm sad too D:
  • Likes cheesecake unironically.
At least console games get fan translations. Not all of them, but at least they exist at all.

Now try to find fan translations of Japanese computer games. Not as in Windows games that were made by Japanese, like Cave Story, but games on Japanese computers like the PC-88/98, MSX or FM-Towns. The only one I'm aware of is Metal Gear 2.

Barely anyone cares about them in the first place. A sad thing, really.

Good thing La-Mulana produced a Maze of Galious revival and fan-remake.

And for that matter, introducing a lot of western fans to the existence of the MSX (and MSX2).
  • Kichigai birthday!!
I wish they'd translate Captain Rainbow for the Wii. It sounds hilarious
