Being raped to sleep by the dickwolves.

And can we please get a reliable source that's more specific instead of using half-remembered rumors for a point of discussion?
Cool.

I certainly didn't mean for it to derail the thread to be about SA's word filter policies.
csb
Well, I guess it doesn't exactly mean to include rape that you see coming, so maybe it isn't the same.
It's quite ironic when you consider 4chan was created by a goon
This somehow explains so much, yet so little
@Elbeem:
I am pretty sure the author of that is Sady Doyle of Tigerbeatdown.com. Not entirely sure, but that's who generally gets credited for it when it pops across my Tumblr dash, and it pops across my Tumblr dash a LOT.Nope, actually it's from this.(Oh, and the original definitely does use the word "rape", I think Elbeem just got it through a filter or something.)
My opinion on the whole dickwolves thing: Rape culture is totally a real thing, the original strip was not it, but all of Jerry's reactions since then totally were.
Basically I think the feminist position got stronger as time went on, and the Penny Arcade guys' got weaker. Originally they totally had the better of the argument, because although they had technically made a rape joke it didn't trivialize or minimize rape in any way and so the reaction was kind of just Shakesville being Shakesville*. Then the reaction strip was actually a legitimate rape joke, and then with the T-shirts and everything it kind of spiraled down from there. Basically Gabe and Tycho chose to react to the complaints in the most immature way possible.
*: Shakesville has a tendency to overreact to things, in part because its moderation policy is so biased towards keeping trolls out in practice it tends to keep out anyone who disagrees with the admins. And even so, it was a guest post criticizing PA, as part of a series, along with many other things in that very same post. PA guys could TOTALLY have ignored it, as nearly every other thing they have ever criticized also does.
