    I wasn't allowed to watch a lot of cartoons when I was younger. My parents thought they were a waste of time. (In retrospect, they were probably right about most of them, but there were still some gems that I must've missed out on.)

    I'll never know if I wouldn't be allowed to watch TV as a kid because I never did anyway, I was scared of it at first and then got so used to reading that most cartoons just sort of looked dumb to me and I got into anything.

    I've been deprived of an awful lot of 90's pop culture. By existing ignorant of popular music and TV throughout my childhood, I effectively made myself "not a 90's kid." And I'm really not complaining.

    I was such a little dweeb as a child that my parents had to MAKE me watch cartoons. I was too afraid of them. They made me watch an episode of the simpsons and I got grossed out by Itchy & Scratchy, refusing to watch again for many years :(

    I caught up when I was about 12 or 13 I think.

    I wasn't allowed to watch Power Rangers as a kid.

    I watched them at a neighbor's and now I Download Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.

    When I was younger and still watched TV, I used to think The Simpsons was boring, and I watched Family Guy and Futurama on [adult swim] instead. XD
