My players bailed on me

Glaives are better.
I gave my players two weeks time to clear their schedules, or tell me if they couldn't make it. Two to three hours on a Saturday night is all I ask. And it was to be a short session. They were even going to learn what the main plot was about, instead of having to try to piece it together from hints and puzzles in-game. The Yiddish space cat cleric was going to be able to use the Captain America-style throwing shield that got dropped last time.

But nooo. The frat-boy paladin suddenly had a fraternity meeting to go to. The skittish rogue who tried to seduce the god of torture suddenly had work at the library. And the pig-faced whore who's sleeping with the golem wizard suddenly had to go to her grandfather's birthday party, neglecting of course to inform me that she was out of town.

The worst part? She got back fifteen minutes after we were originally scheduled to start.

I'm not bitter that my players have lives, but come on. Three hours a week isn't that much, even for college kids. And if they can't make it, I'd just like for them to let me know in advance, so I'm not waiting for them.
