MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I think she's a good actress and rather charismatic but...

does anybody else get the feeling that her career at this point is professional waifu?

Comments

  • Do you automatically assume everyone knows what a "waifu" is?
  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
^ There are people on the internet who don't?

^^ You say this like it is a bad thing. :P
  • You can change. You can.
Well, it's not like google doesn't exist, at any rate.

Anyway, you say this as if Zooey Deschanel didn't exist.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
^^^The word isn't as important as the sentiment. If you prefer say 'surrogate girlfriend' or whatever.

I looked it up. Are you really trying to assign an anime term to a real person?

It's like calling someone in real life "moe".

It's not an anime term. It's a fandom term, specifically referring an audience reaction. It's applicable.

Again, if using anime terms is so offensive use 'surrogate girlfriend' or something.

I suppose Urban Dictionary isn't the best place to look these things up. The first answer:

"Weeaboo for "wife". Don't say this word ever, please.
    Mai waifu ^___^

    ^ Faggotry."

Anyway, I don't really see it. What with that Dragon Age stuff she's doing. If anything, Zooey Deschanel fits the term more.

If anything, the Dragon Age stuff kinda confirms it. I mean, she's only there because geeks love her.
  • Better her than Olivia Munn.

Also, I have never heard the term "Waifu" used unironically.
  • a little muffled

    Spend more time on 4chan.

    Or rather don't.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Or hell, listen to me talk whenever a new episode of Mirai Nikki comes out. =P
  • ^^^^^ She's writing the series. So no, she's not just there for the nerds.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I think Juan means she was brought on to write/act because nerds love her.
  • a little muffled
The fact that she is pretty good at writing and acting might have something to do with it too...
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I'll give acting, but considering the only thing I've seen her write was the Guild....
  • They're somethin' else.
Munn is just blah. Deschanel is getting there as well.

As for Felicia Day, she's EXTREMELY awkward. Can't make a facial expression worth a damn.
  • You can change. You can.
I never got the Day hype, really.

I mean, she was so...dull in Dr Horrible.

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
She was amusing as a minor character in Buffy, but yeah. Part of that is that Penny is such a non-character. She only exists to be fought over by the men.

    Joss Whedon: Feminist.
  • You can change. You can.
Scratch that. She only exists to die.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Has she been in anything notable other than Dr. Horrible or the Guild?

Anything worth giving a damn about?
  • Scratch that. She only exists to die.

    As do we all.

  • She was Veronica in Fallout New Vegas
  • You can change. You can.
    As do we all.

    who are you?
