    First of all, iCarly is Nickelodeon, not Disney.

    Second of all, it appeals to my strange sense of lolrandom humor with it's witty wordplay, especially in seasons 4 and 5.

    Dan Schneider has always appealed to me in that way.

    And while tvtropes GREATLY exaggerates it, it really does get a lot of crap past the radar.

    It mostly is. I only watch iCarly, and sometimes Spongebob, and that's about it. CN is better.
