If Somebody Logged Into Your Computer...

and it was left untouched (you didn't move anything or hide anything) what would they find if:

They unhid all hidden folders.
Looked in your saved files folders.
Opened up your Downloading window in your browser.
Looked at your desktop.

  • Unfortunately, they wouldn't find anything substantial by doing that to me.  Not very interesting, I know.  However, someone did log into my TvTropes account and send an inflammatory message to one of my friends, so there's that.
  • They would find over a terabyte of pirated stuff.
  • A shitload of diaper fetish videos, and tons of pirated games. Mostly racing Sims. And a bunch of shitty music.
  • a little muffled
    Nothing very interesting.
  • "(you didn't move anything or hide anything)"

Ehehehe. I do all that beforehand so that such a situation won't come up.

I don't have any hidden folders other than system folders that are hidden by default (though of course Explorer is set to show hidden folders, so it doesn't matter anyway)

They'd find a lot of stuff.  Mostly anime though.  And mods for Oblivion and Fallout 3.  Many of them loli-ish.  And installers for various programs, and other boring stuff.

I haven't cleared my download history since I got this computer, so... they'd find a list of everything I downloaded using Firefox.  Which is... a lot.  It's unlikely they'd find anything particularly noteworthy though, unless they went back pretty far.  And even then it's not anything bad. Maybe.  I dunno.

    There's nothing on my desktop.
  • A bunch of pirated music and gay bear porn.
  • The Sonic Series Wiki Curator of TvTropes
A bunch of clean Sonic-related documents, music, videos, and images.
  • ~60 GB total.  A lot of screencaptured video and images, downloaded manga, ultra - high resolution test photos, old emails, tax forms, obscure technical papers, scanned roleplaying game books, just about every type of file imaginable.  As for the embarrassing stuff, let's just say I have... eclectic tastes.

A prosecutor would go blind looking at my search history.

I really ought to clear out the old stuff.
  • Lots of pirated / torrented shit (movies, shows, music, games, comics, music, books, and an assload more music), a lot of shitty poetry, some shitty unfinished novels and short stories, pictures of Kwan (lots and lots of pictures of Kwan), and a bunch of random yet incredibly awesome looking wallpapers. Also, porn, but not sexy porn, weird, freaky porn that just about no one could get off to, the kind of porn that one could only appreciate if they were nothing more than a dark, empty, broken shell of a human being.

  • Woki mit deim Popo.
So, are we suppose to take away from that is that you don't pay for porn?
  • >pay for porn

    ._.
  • Because you never know what you might see.
No hidden folders.  Saved files, they'd find a bunch of shitty meme-related images and reaction images.  Downloads, music and Firefox update.  Desktop, Lisa Frank xenomorph background, Word, recycle bin, IE, Firefox... the usual.

So nothing worth sharing on a forum, in other words.

    System files.
A bunch of assignments, Touhou and Hetalia images, and 3D models.
Nothing, I delete it regularly due to space problems. Disregarding that, a bunch of Gigabytes of untranslated Touhou doujin.
A completely black desktop with no icons.
  • I stand on Grendel's shoulders

    • Pirated manga, comics, music
    • Lots and lots of unfinished writings by me.
    • Lots and lots of drawings by me.
    • My gay porn stash
  • Woki mit deim Popo.
That first bullet describes what's on my computer.
  • @vacasama: Who in their right mind pays for porn?
  • Woki mit deim Popo.
    Uh, people before the 1990's?

  • I don't keep porn on my laptop, but there are some odd images that are on there that might raise some eyebrows. Reaction images mostly.

I don't keep porn on my laptop ever since I realized that it's just a Google away.

I do have some things people might find weird, though. Like PDF versions of Alice in Wonderland or the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 2009 Edition.

  • It can be worthwhile if your internet tends to go down, but that stopped being a concern when I moved to the city.
  • When my internet goes down, I just get on my neighbors' wireless. There, I said it.
  • My neighbors back at my family's place don't have wireless, at least not within range.
