So Australia has crazies too

Comments

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Australia is full of reactive prudes and crazy racists descended by psychotic murderers.

I thought this was common knoweldge.

    ...errr, no offense, Alex. =P

One foot in front of the other, every day.
^^ You say this like it's something new.

    rofl ninja'd

Not to worry, Malk. As much as I'm thankful to live in a first-world nation with better social benefits than, say, the USA, I have small particular love for Australia as a whole. Our government is an embarassment, as are our attitudes, especially for a nation comprised of immigrants from a variety of ethnics backgrounds. Except for the indigenous blacks that the colonial wave disempowered.

You say this as if the US was better.

    OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^Or any place on Earth habitable by humans, really.

Hell, there are places in orbit that the statement applies to.
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
I'm always astounded by the social progress that Scandinavia represents, personally. There's no such thing as a utopia, but those nations seem to be gunning for it without remorse.
  • You can change. You can.
I didn't wanna play the misanthropist card so soon, but sure.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Juan, you should look at the last decade of actions and ask why you would think the US was all that great.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
^Um...well, considering that he described it as full of reactive prudes and crazy racists, I can't say he comes off as thinking the US is all that great.

    You mean 50-60 years, right?
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
    ^true enough.
  • You can change. You can.
Mind you, I don't see the US differently to almost any country. I think that if you investigate any country's history, you're bound to find some shit.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I can't say there's any country I'd be proud to live in. Frankly, the notion of feeling moral superiority based on GPS location always kinda confused me.

Trufax on both counts. People like to feel special though.
  • Alex - Scandinavia has its crazies too. At the last Swedish elections an extreme racist and anti-immigrant party had some success, not to mention the guy in Norway who shot/blew up all those people earlier this year. However, on the whole, they are very balanced and sensible people.
  • You can change. You can.
You could say that about any country.

    again.
  • Everyone is probably descended from a psychotic murderer/rapist at some point. They don't make for great providers, but neither do murder victims.
  • You can change. You can.
    >Neither do murder victims

    Someone hasn't heard of inheritances~
  • I was thinking more in terms of prehistory and similarly savage cultures. A hand to mouth existence doesn't leave much room for a large inheritance.

Absolutely, but in a broader sense they're much more forward-looking than much of the rest of the world.
