Borderlands' take on WH40k Space Marines

Thane of rum-guzzling and necromancy

Master McCloud especially. That name is seriously badass. I instantly thought of a force commander with a plasma rifle.

  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
This never crossed my mind when playing Borderlands.

Then again, WH40k Space Marines are tied directly to the concept of Crusade-era knightly orders. Without tech cathedrals and battle prayers, you don't really have Space Marines.

They may not be a knightly order or a religious one, but Master McCloud and the Crimson Lance Royal Guard have more than a passing resemblance to space marines.

There should totally be a Borderlands spinoff based on this.
