Most of the time when I'm reading it, I'm just left thinking "Dude, what is your problem?"

Understandably, I'm hesitant to give this opinion out, due to how much of a holy grail of satire people take The Onion to be, but there it is.

^ Like a lot of their writing is so mean-spirited that I want to ask them (about the targets of their satire) "Jesus, you act as if these guys raped your dog your something. Is that what happened?"

This goes for both The Onion and Stuff White People Like.

I think you have too low a threshold for what you consider mean-spirited.

Especially since SWPL is mostly middle class white dudes writing.

Stuff White People Like started off as a humorous way of mocking the tendencies of upper-middle class whites, but now it's just one unbelievably pretentious ass's soapbox to make fun of things he doesn't like.
