When repairing my laptop they wiped everything
And it had to be the one time that I didn't back up everything.
So here's what I'm missing:
* Strikers
* two different subs of Sky Girls (which I only really kept around for novelty value and because both subs have mistakes in various places, such as the theme song, which is notoriously difficult to figure out is a MELL song...and because I thought I should seed both until I get at least a 1.0 ratio)
* a few Playstation games (such as MMX4, MMX5, and Symphony of the Night, which I own in hard copy format, mind you)
* various SNES games (which I had partly backed up anyway)
* a bunch of fonts that I've picked up over the years (such as various videogame-style fonts, like Orange Kid and Lunchtime Doubly So, as well as the Roadgeek fonts, which I do have backed up, as well as a various variably-useful fonts from various sources)
* pictures of women in swimsuits. Though this I've never bothered to back up anyway. The only sucky thing about this is that I recently grabbed a bunch of PDF catalogues, which I'll have to re-find and re-grab, and many of the images that I had are several years old and not easy at all to find again.

The reason I sent it in though was because the touchpad wasn't working. Well, now the touchpad works, and so does diagnosing wireless connection problems.
Though now, for some reason, my router doesn't like adding it to the network.
They use external media for that, such as a DVD-R.
I much prefer knowing how my computer works and then backing up exactly everything I need. Or at least, prioritizing what I need or don't need.
For example, I don't need my downloads folder, but I would definitely enjoy having my music.
Also, I have installers for various programs that I've actually kept on an external hard drive.
