MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
says a guy at the comic shop I frequent.

He comes in every week and buys every Spider book.

    Has friends besides tanks now
I kinda know that guy's feel. I kept reading Bleach for a while even though it had long since taken a dive and I knew it. Difference is, I would never have actually paid to keep reading Bleach.
  • When in Turkey, ROCK THE FUCK OUT
    A) He is stupid

    B) He likes watching trainwrecks

Incidentally, is the new Spider-Man any good?
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
    B) He likes watching trainwrecks

This probably, it's why I was in Everest's position concerning Bleach.
  • You can change. You can.
Wait, the new Spider-Man is already out? (Or are you talking about the guy replacing Peter Parker?)

Also, yeah, many times, we cling onto things expecting for them to get better.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
B-but! Why is he paying for them?
  • You can change. You can.
Because he expects a return for his passionate investment. Yes, it's illogical. No, it's not unique.
  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.
I like bleach and naruto, but the main motivator for me to keep reading something is that there's nothing that can override the "finish what you start" order in my head
  • You can change. You can.
You poor thing. I almost want to send you a copy of "Atlas Shrugged"
  • *gasp* You wouldn't!
  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.
Fuck objectivism, I will usually make a cursory read and then proceed.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!

Oh, Abyss_Worm, you should know, I'm very dedicated to the art of torture.

^^ Welp, that joke is dead now.

I should think of something more evil.
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
    ^Twilight.
  • You can change. You can.
Nah, Twilight can be enjoyed. I mean, really, "I HAVE THE SKIN OF A MONSTER *SPARKLES*" is some hilarious shit, alright.

    ^^^The Eye of Argon.

    Eragon

Night Travels of An Elven Vampire

^I personally love "Do I...dazzle you?"
  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.
I've actually had a reading of the first chapter of twilight...Couldn't continue, it bored me to death.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I found Twilight to be an actually really breezy read. I'll give it commendations for that, even while kicking and spitting on everything else.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I attempted to MST the entire thing once, but gave up because holy shit massive book.

He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.
I do not enjoy MSTing much, not that pointing out something's bad point is not entertaining but after the first five jokes my face goes from "XD" to "-_-".
  • MST-ing takes skill. I shall allow Joker to explain the mortal sin most MST-ers commit.

  • You can change. You can.
I enjoy MSTing when I'm with friends and doing it myself. And sometimes, Rifftrax. But it varies in quality for me. It has to be really good for me to care about it.
  • He who laments and can't let go of the past is forever doomed to solitude.
I can say that yes, I prefer to do it among friends.
  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
Need I remind people what my favorite TV show is?
  • You can change. You can.
Yes. We just don't care. And you should really just relax.

^^but how else will you know how I eat and breathe and other science facts?

Boy, nobody likes what I like here. But honestly, anything (everything) beats Atlas Shrugged.
  • Give us fire! Give us ruin! Give us our glory!
^As much as I hate Ayn Rand, Twilight (and a lot of other things) are many orders of magnitude worse.

Twilight's audience is teenage girls. Ayn Rand's audience include people who actually make decisions concerning the fate of the world. Twilight wasn't indirectly responsible for ruining the economy.
