Rooting for the school soccer team now.
Looking at Facebook, a member of the soccer team posted "Ever since soccer started, you kept telling me that we needed to win the state championship this year, it was now or never. im going to do it, for you. i love you so much and you'll never be forgotten. RIP mom, i love you", and a bunch of similarly heartfelt, encouraging comments from teammates or would-be teammates followed. So I want them to win, naturally, but I don't know if the soccer team is any good, and it would suck something awful if they didn't get that far.
I also ended up awkwardly deleting my initial condolences after he already liked the status so I could make an addendum without just tacking on a comment in response to myself. Whoops.
