People who ask Sega for a Sonic Adventure 3.

Morgan Freeman is God
Have any of these people played either of the SA games recently? I've played both recently, and SA1 sucked completely. The only good things about SA2 were Sonic & Shadow's levels.

Seriously, people, play the games again, they haven't aged well. Besides, last time Sega tried to make Sonic Adventure 3, they ended up with Sonic The Hedgehog 2006.

  • ... I like both SA games, though I will admit that SA2 is largely overrated.

Anyway, it is annoying when the fans beg for a Sonic Adventure 3 as if it would automatically, inherently be good. Sega should focus on making good, solid gameplay. There's no reason they couldn't make SA3 and have it come out horrible. That is what they did with the 2006 game, which was obviously an attempt at being like the SA series.

Bring back gameplay elements from the series by all means, but it annoys me when people apparently think slapping the title on it will automatically make it a good game.

Sonic fans criticize the shitload of characters, the gimmicky game mechanics used as filler, the "hold right to win" Sonic gameplay and the "dark" tone of the later games.

    And yet they want SA3.
  • You assume that you're talking about the same people in both paragraphs.
  • SA wasn't even that dark. It was dark for a Sonic game but it wasn't gritty. That complaint stems from games like Shadow and the 2006 game which take themselves too seriously and end up being piles of narm.

Also, Sonic's gameplay wasn't really "hold right to win" in the first SA game.
  • They did it already. It was called Sonic Colors.

Everything we would've gotten from what a "Sonic Adventure 3" would've been, we got from Heroes, Shadow, and '06. Opposing but parallel game paths? We got four of them in Heroes and three of them in '06. The revelation of Shadow's origins and the conclusion of his arc that began when Eggman broke him out in SA2? Shadow. A massive story bringing together all of the cast members in varying capacities? '06. You get the idea.

And preemptively, don't tell me that one/two/all three of those "sucked" or whatever your preferred terminology is, because even if it is true, it doesn't change the point any.

People put so much value in nothing more than a name. And Unleashed was released in Japan as "Sonic World Adventure", keep in mind.
