I just saw it today. The ending was fantastic.

I feel wierd for having been surprised at the term "Fan-Fiction" being used.

It's such an internet term that hearing it being used in a TV show was.....odd.

I'm pretty sure the term's been around longer than the internet as we know it today, if not as old as the internet.

But let me check to be sure...

Yep, the term has been around since the 60's when Star Trek fans were making fanzines.

Yeah, but the idea didn't permeate fan culture until the internet came along.

Well technically it did permeate the fan culture.

however it was harder to access and promote till the advent of the internet.

I never saw it, but I did like the ending to the episode where they have to give the witch hair. Who knew that Finn had such luxurious locks?

The ending wouldn't have been as funny if the Ice King said "story" instead of "fanfiction"

Also, the episode should have had more Marshall Lee. I loved it but it should have been Prince asks Fiona as a Friend --> Fiona and Cake freaking out about it at home --> Marshall Lee visits, teases her and Cake, then asks Fiona out on an actual date -> They freak out about that --> She hangs out with both boys --> Same ending.

Lumpy Space Prince didn't get much screentime either. It was enough for me that Lee at least appeared in the episode. I think having more than the central characters interact would have been more of a distraction than it was worth.

Also, Cinnamon Bun with tits was pretty funny.

I swear I thought LSP was a gay guy when I first heard her.

That honestly would have been funnier than her being a valley girl
