I keep hearing people talking about Marmite, but I honestly haven't the slightest clue what it is.

Like a spread that taste like something I can't really describe, without saying 'It tastes like Marmite'.

The best I can give is a strong but slightly salty flavour.
You should try it, I'm sure you can import it or something.
  • No rainbow star

    It is different to bacon.

Due to the unique flavour it is branded as 'Love it or hate it'.
The Marmite website even has a Love it skin or Hate it skin, which shows some balls when you market it as something that half the population hate it.
  • Needs more

^^^ At least you didn't say that it was better, otherwise I would have called you out as nothing is better than bacon
  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    Vegemite is better.

In Australia and New Zealand your Marmite has a different recipe, you need to try real Marmite :p

No wonder it tastes horrible. It has something of a... reputation here.

Your version has sugar and caramel added to the recipe which to me makes it sound terrible :s.
