  • Isn't OoT "Holy shit the greatest game EVER"?

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
(has honestly never encountered any glitches in OoT)

    ^YES. =D
  • Why does every video game thread inevitably turn into Zelda discussion? XD Not that I mind.
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
Most of the time, you have to go looking for glitches on OoT. If you play it by the books, even out of sequence, you're unlikely to bump into anything that'll disrupt your game.

If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
You need the medallions to cross the bridge into Ganon's castle.

If you complete the Spirit Temple and the Shadow Temple before the other 3, you will have the second encounter with Rauru as if you had completed the first three. You then save outside of any temple and restart, triggering the last conversation with Shiek, giving you access to the Light Arrows, and thus Ganon's Castle.

what the fuck was Nintendo smoking when they made OoT

how do you make a game that glitchy

The game is not very glitchy at all unless you deliberately try to glitch it.

MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
I've also never encountered any serious bugs in Red Dead Redemption.

Oblivion though... you so buggy there cockroaches on your couch singing 'we are family'.

^^How do you access the Shadow Temple without Shiek's song?

That doesn't change the fact that the glitches that are there are utterly ridiculous.
  • You can change. You can.
Pretty much. Not to mention that the longer the game goes on the market, people are bound to find more and more glitches.

    Or create them.

^^^ The fastest way to beat that game involves exploiting the physics on the paintbrush (or, rather, lack thereof).

And that's not even touching upon Fallout 3 and New Vegas' bugs.
  • I like when people make Oblivion videos of homemade rumors and toss in that one Argonian saying "penis" at opportune moments.

I'm terribly juvenile and get quite a laugh out of it.

    Wait, what

Any game has ridiculous glitches, as long as you're trying to find them. That's kind of how glitches are. They're the game's code failing.

Chagen: Nah. They're only ridiculous if they interrupt general gameplay like in Vampire: Bloodlines or Deus Ex. The ones found are generally found by people with too much free time.

Generally I find computer games way buggier than console ones.
  • You can change. You can.
It's because they tend to go for bigger scale than console games.

^^^^There's no physics on paintbrushes. Literally. Drop them and they just float in the air.

You can then jump on them. That's one of the main ways to speed run Oblivion; jump on paintbrushes to climb into the Temple and activate the module the endgame uses. Seeing as how I know not how to embed, here is a link.

^^^^Well then they should adjust their scope to a point where the game doesn't crash when I try to open a fucking door.
  • I think this video is the one that makes me laugh most.

    "HAHAHAA! GOOD BYE, BLACKS!*"

    Redguard: :0

*the original line was Blackwood Company

no, because it's your computer that is weak, not the game

    /not my opinion.
  • Personal favourite of mine:

  • MORONS! I'VE GOT MORONS ON MY PAYROLL!
^^Bitch my 2010 space obelisk plays games from 2002 and they still bug up like they're a Raid commercial.
  • Ohhh my gosh the 100 ways to die video is one of my favorites~. I liked
the bad dancing/"one does not simply walk into Oblivion" ones best. XD
  • Tripping over a Zombie, flashing and getting paralysed are my favourites.

The first two because they should have been in the game and the last because it's really annoying when it happens to you.
  • One foot in front of the other, every day.
... and the bodies had puncture wounds on their balls.

    Poor guys.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Getting back to the questions earlier about how games can be so glitchy, glitches just happen when you're programming something that big. To avoid them all for certain, you'd probably need hundred-year development cycles just to make sure you've found everything. All we can really ask is that glitches not be overly visible to people who don't go looking for them.

Malkavian: If I recall, you use a combination of seam walking (walking along the points where walls meet - You'll notice less of these seams in Majora's Mask) and a bomb hover glitch allowing for double, triple, etc. jumps

^What, no mention of the Reverse Bottle Adventure?

^ Wait, was that glitch needed? I thought you could get Din's Fire without it to open the temple

...Actually, I thought you could get in the temple even without opening the door, and as kid Link to boot
