Everyone ignores The Amazing World of Gumball.

It's one of the most unique shows out there on Cartoon Network, yet people ignore it and talk about only Adventure Time and Regular Show. Personally, I consider all three to be Modern CN's "Trifecta". All three of them are, if you may excuse my crude language, fucking awesome. And Gumball actually averts Dawson Casting, which is very nice.

And Adventure Time averts Dawson Casting too. Finn's voice actor is a 13 year old boy and Pen said he plans to make the character grow up as the VA does. Pretty cool if you ask me

All I've seen of Gumball is the trailer that used the "Movie Voice" joke that has been used in hundreds of cartoons and isn't funny at all, so I was not convinced to watch it.

It's a lot funnier than that, trust me. Also, that commercial was a parody of those "movie voice" jokes.

That, and the show is French, technically. Can't go wrong with French.

Okay, the joke admittedly isn't that funny, but the show is bette. At least in my opinion.

No, it has to do with a hyperactive catboy. Who's first name is literally "Gumball".

The show is animated with a mixture of damn near every kind of animation technique ever and the backgrounds are real-life photographs.

It really is a unique show.

I watched a couple episodes when I was visiting my family this summer, and I gotta say it's certainly not bad. I didn't enjoy it as much as Regular Show, Adventure Time, or My Little Pony, but it's definitely better than a lot of the crap that gets aired. There was one scene where the mother was trying to make sure the main character was going to be responsible, and he said that he was "born reprehensible". That joke alone could have made me appreciate the show.

I didn't know that. That's pretty cool, and he's pretty skilled for his age.

Ah. I suppose that makes sense. Though I'd imagine there are better things to watch while stoned. It would explain why I wasn't amused by a "Best Scenes" clip, though those seemed to only be from one episode.

I saw the first episode of Adventure Time stoned with a friend, and it was amazing.
