I can't play most games on my computer

CRIMINAL SCUM!
The graphics card sucks so bad that most games can't even be run on my computer.

Meanwhile, most games I want to play that are old enough that my graphics card can support can't be played because they are not Windows 7 compatible.

  • No rainbow star
    ^ Compatibility mode?
  • -Team Fortress 2 and Portal 2: Artifacting is so bad, it covers the screen completely
-Morrowind: Artifacting all over the place, and character's bodies disappear, so that they're just floating heads walking around.
-Warcraft 3: Graphics get covered in shadows at random intervals

These games used to run fine; I only started having problems after I first started Team Fortress 2. It's weird.
  • Does that even DO anything? Because fuck all since that's EVER worked for me.

Team Fortess 2 alters your graphic card settings.

    Try:

    Minecraft
    Ur-Quan Masters
    some GBA roms
    Yume Nikki
    Sins of the Flesh VN
    Sono Hanabira
    Flintstones Rumble
  • ^ So if my graphics card settings are altered, how do I change them back? Uninstalling the game?

Also, only 3D graphics have been the problem so far. And Minecraft still works.
  • Kichigai birthday!!
My computer can't even run Yume Nikki properly. Try to beat that
  • I used to have that.

    Then I upgraded.

It was the best day of my life.
  • I know that feel bro.

    I know that feel.
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
Play Dwarf Fortress. Graphics are completely unrelated to why it'll make your computer lag.
  • Creature - Florida Dragon Turtle Human
Commando Dude: Sounds like you're playing old PC games.  You may want to look into DosBox for some of them.  For those that don't run in dos...I don't really know, actually.
  • no longer cuddly, but still Edmond
Sometimes old Win3.1/9x games will run in a Virtualizer, but only if they don't require any sort of 3D acceleration (sadly, most of them do).
  • Poot dispenser here
If you have Need For Speed 3 and/or 4, I know of unofficial patches that can make them run on Vista and 7.
  • I should NEVER have installed windows 7 on this POS computer of mine. I'm going to try making a partition and installing XP.
  • >So if my graphics card settings are altered, how do I change them back? Uninstalling the game?

Still waiting for an answer to this.
  • I would turn of the computer and make sure that the graphics card has plenty of air flow and the fan is not covered in dust. It sounds like a overheating issue.
