... the whole thing clutters up my e-mail with stuff I don't care about at all. And it bugs the hell outta me.

  • If you must eat a phoenix, boil it, do not roast it. This only encourages their mischievous habits.
    Yeah, fuck that shit.
  • I look terrible in photos...

Its even worse when you have nothing to do with the pic, or if it's some random image cause then the conversation gets stupid and it adds to the clutter
  • OOOooooOoOoOOoo, I'm a ghoOooOooOOOost!
I'm considering just getting rid of my Facebook.
  • Change your Facebook options so you don't get mail for this.

    Same here.

The only reason I haven't yet is that my mother sometimes bugs me about how to do whatever on Facebook, so I need to be able to log on and check.
  • Don't you guys socialize with people you know in person at all? As much of a shut-in I tend to be, Facebook has still managed to become a practical necessity for keeping tabs on my friends.

Besides, the community in my hometown generates way too much snarkbait for me to afford missing.

    No.

I use GChat for this, and when I was in school, I...

    ...gasp...

used socializing with them in person to socialize with them in person!

Holy crap!  What a revolutionary concept!  Rather than declaring people friends on Facebook, I actually go out and make friends in meatspace!
  • Well, I only started using Facebook after graduating high school. There aren't a lot of other options for keeping tabs on friends and family when you aren't all living in the same town and don't go to the same places every day.
  • I can't live without my facebook. I can live without my myspace because I finally reached my 100k friend mark so I am happy with letting it fade off into obscurity once I got my personal accomplishment. W4W FTW.

But Facebook is the central where people find me and talk to me.
