StudioCanal's logos

Neither of them make an ounce of sense. The first bombards you with all this cryptic "symbolism" that probably doesn't mean anything, and the second makes even less sense:

Not to mention it crawled right out of the Uncanny Valley, too. Something about it is just creepy and I don't know why.

I was expecting some kind of screaming baby to pop up on the second one.
  • a little muffled
First one is kinda weird. Second one is just...clouds. I dunno what's strange about that.
  • Seconding Nyktos. I don't think they were aiming for anything sensical, they just wanted it to look cool (whether or not they succeeded is a different point entirely).
  • Second one, I deduced, tries too hard to be whimsical but fails.

I concluded this a few days ago but forgot when writing the OP. Also if you listen closely at the beginning you can hear unintelligible whispering.
  • I can't help but think the whispering was just a really stupid mistake. Then again, it's way too easy to assume this when I've never heard of StudioCanal and, as such, automatically think that they're really incompetent.

Also, with a name like "StudioCanal", I would've expected an aquatic motif, or perhaps a tunnel one. These just don't match up.
  • Personally, I think the first one is weirder, though the second one does have creepy music.

I agree that neither of them make any sense, though.
