Sometimes things you do in the past affect the future directly. Okay, so far so standard. However, you get to things like the Song of Storms which you can't get unless you involve yourself in a stable time loop by learning the song from the organ grinder in the windmill so that you can use so that he can teach it to you, and that's not even getting into the time mess that is the Gerudo desert part where you can't get there unless you go there in the future which you can't do unless you go there in the past and oh dear I think I've come into contact with Malkav.
