The Matt Fraction hate
For those of you who don't know, Matt Fraction is a comic book writer. He's currently handling Thor and Iron Man and I've really been digging him. Now, this thread actually isn't about how people have different opinions than me. It's about what they're getting on him for.
In an interview Matt Fraction admitted he was hoping the comics he was writing would be a stepping stone to create his own original comics.
The fan reaction: MATT FRACTION HATES SUPERHEROES AND IS ONLY WRITING THEM FOR A PAYCHECK!
Never mind that he's actually shown a good deal of love and knowledge of the characters he's writing. Clearly because he has artistic aspirations beyond playing with someone else's toys he hates superheroes!
Simply put, no director goes out with their highest aspiration being to create Pulp Fiction 2. As much as I love the currently established heroes, it's only natural for Fraction as an artist to want to create new things.
