I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.

Also is this about his voice?

    Very well then. Thanks.

And yes, it is. Because seriously.
  • I am Dr. Ned who is totally not Dr. Zed in disguise.
I don't like his voice at all.

I don't mind him as a vocalist. I just find it hilarious that he sings in such a high register and looks like he does. His actual voice is considerably deeper, so it's weird looking at him perform and sing like that.

It is a bit dissonant considering his appearance.

  • Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath, to spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the last Day.
I really like Coheed and Cambria.

I have nothing else to really add.

I like them, too. They've got some catchy shit. Protest the Hero is much better, though.

Even more dissonance: the drumwork on most of their albums was really rudimentary, as far as I've seen, but with Year of the Black Rainbow Chris Pennie of The Dillinger Escape Plan has taken the role of drummer, and suddenly the complexity of the drum parts has increased tenfold.
  • "Welcome Home" is completely hilarious because of how hard it tries to be epic-sounding.

That's really all I can say about Coheed and Cambria though.

I'll give you that. They really need lessons on how to sound epic and should have stuck with being catchy.

Here's epic for ya (obligatory PTH fanboy plug is obligatory):

  • We Played Some Open Chords and Rejoiced, For the Earth Had Circled the Sun Yet Another Year
You know, I genuinely did not that Coheed and Cambria made music videos until now...
  • You can change. You can.
    I listened to that song.

    Don't like it.

Gonna go back to being a musical curdmudgeon.
  • My brother introduced me to them at a young age.

I still like them. Even if they are completely ridiculous, they can still write some seriously catchy melodies.
